We usually become friends with our couples during the planning process, but it just so happened that we were friends with Kristen and Cristian before they actually hired us for their photographers. Kristen and Kylene have a similar history in photography – going to school for it and working at a big chain portrait studio along the way (Sears and JCPenney, respectively). 🙂 So there was just a teensy bit of pressure as their wedding day approached – we always aim to please, but a photographer’s eye is a little more discerning than the average person. Even though it rained on our drive out to Honey Lake Plantation, it cleared up and turned out to be a beautiful day. They were surrounded by family and friends and had a smile on their face all day – no drama here folks!

The whole day was so emotional and it started with Kristen and her mom sharing this moment after they got her veil in place:
Gorgeous….there’s just not a better word to describe Kristen in these:
Kristen, her mom, and sisters. Kristen is the “baby” of the family! 🙂
These are two of our favorites shots from the ceremony – Kristen was very emotional walking down the aisle, and then she breathes a sigh of relief as she finally gets to Cristian:
It was really tricky to photograph the ceremony with the huge window behind them, but Ryan hung out in the balcony and totally made it work:
Some of our favorite bubble shots to date:
The best behaved and most cooperative bridal party ever! We ran ahead of schedule because they were so awesome:
We couldn’t have planned a better timeline-portraits of Kristen and Cristian right as the sun started to go down:
Lots of fun details, especially the candy bar!
The Gathering Hall is beautiful at night:
Kristen’s dad gave a very sweet and funny toast that consisted of some surprises (Kristen’s reaction shown below):
