This little guy was a long awaited addition to the family of my dear buddies from high school, Susie and Chris.  We photographed their wedding just over 3 years ago, and I know Susie was chomping at the bit to add a little munchkin to their group!  I loved getting to meet Owen, he’s so cute and a good little sleeper too.  Ironically, Ryan took Chris out for a golf outing (which they had joked about when we did their Belly photos several months prior!)

Love you guys, can’t wait to document his first year!

This one is in honor of his daddy who likes to play golf!  We made him leave his putter at home so the picture would be authentic – and his name is engraved on the top:

Special thanks to my friend Linda Long for loaning me some cute new hats, including the dinosaur and the visor (which made the golf shot perfect!).

Ahhh, the last wedding in our spring/summer season!  And what a wedding it was.  We are so thankful to know these two, and they have become wonderful friends.  We first  met Byron in our weekly BNI (leads) group and we quickly hit it off with him and his partner, Will.  Then when Byron proposed to Jessica, we insisted on a meeting.  Thankfully we hit it off with Jessica and her mom too (since usually the groom just lets the bride make all the big decisions).  ;)

Jessica had the largest group of girls we had ever seen in her bridal party – I think the final total was 14 – and her mom and sister explained that they ALL had to be included because they were all close friends.  “If you’re friends with Jessica, she’s all in.  No half-friendships with her.”  I thought that was a wonderful testament to the type of woman she is, and it made it more clear why Byron is so smitten with her.  Both families couldn’t have been more welcoming to us, and for that, we’re always grateful.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Summer is here!  I’m glad the crazy hot temperatures held off for our last couple of spring weddings – although we weren’t spared the afternoon thunderstorms.  But we don’t mind holding an entire bridal party captive for extra portraits in the chapel if it starts pouring outside…nope, we don’t mind.  ;)  Kelsey and David are high school sweethearts and have been together for-ever!  They have such a fun group of crazy friends too, so we had a blast spending the day with all of them.  It also didn’t hurt that Kelsey is beyond adorable, and chose one of the prettiest dresses from Vocelles!  We love working out at Honey Lake and this wedding was no exception.  (thanks for taking such good care of us, Jeri!)

As soon as we got everyone lined up, it started sprinkling, then raining!  We literally had time to take 3 shots, then run inside for cover:

So we had some “leisurely” time in the chapel and took full advantage (no one wanted to run back to the Gathering Hall in the rain!):
