Ahhh, the last wedding in our spring/summer season!  And what a wedding it was.  We are so thankful to know these two, and they have become wonderful friends.  We first  met Byron in our weekly BNI (leads) group and we quickly hit it off with him and his partner, Will.  Then when Byron proposed to Jessica, we insisted on a meeting.  Thankfully we hit it off with Jessica and her mom too (since usually the groom just lets the bride make all the big decisions).  ;)

Jessica had the largest group of girls we had ever seen in her bridal party – I think the final total was 14 – and her mom and sister explained that they ALL had to be included because they were all close friends.  “If you’re friends with Jessica, she’s all in.  No half-friendships with her.”  I thought that was a wonderful testament to the type of woman she is, and it made it more clear why Byron is so smitten with her.  Both families couldn’t have been more welcoming to us, and for that, we’re always grateful.  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Summer is here!  I’m glad the crazy hot temperatures held off for our last couple of spring weddings – although we weren’t spared the afternoon thunderstorms.  But we don’t mind holding an entire bridal party captive for extra portraits in the chapel if it starts pouring outside…nope, we don’t mind.  ;)  Kelsey and David are high school sweethearts and have been together for-ever!  They have such a fun group of crazy friends too, so we had a blast spending the day with all of them.  It also didn’t hurt that Kelsey is beyond adorable, and chose one of the prettiest dresses from Vocelles!  We love working out at Honey Lake and this wedding was no exception.  (thanks for taking such good care of us, Jeri!)

As soon as we got everyone lined up, it started sprinkling, then raining!  We literally had time to take 3 shots, then run inside for cover:

So we had some “leisurely” time in the chapel and took full advantage (no one wanted to run back to the Gathering Hall in the rain!):

This is the third year in a row we’ve had a wedding on May 25!  First on a Friday, then Saturday, and now Sunday.  There’s just something special about that date, because we always have the best weddings (am I right, Reva and Andrew, Colby and Andy?)  ;)  We enjoyed our time with Ashley and James before the wedding for their engagement session, and I felt like I got to know James more than most other grooms because HE was the organizer and emailer extraordinaire.  We have countless emails sent between the two of us.  It’s a little insane.  But I’m not complaining, because come wedding day, we were all old friends.  I even rode with Ashley from the getting ready house to the wedding venue, just the two of us.  Good times.

These two had an awesome team of vendors to make their day beautiful!  There’s lots more coming soon you guys, and I’ll be posting these same images on Facebook in the next few days.  But for now, enjoy them on the blog!

Ashley shared with me how they used her Grandma’s old window pane for their menu decor.  She passed away earlier this year and it was a sweet way to remember her at the wedding, along with their favorite shared color of purple, which was everywhere.  <3
