Erin & Mitch | 9.24.11 Hammock Beach Resort Wedding

There were so many beautiful things about this wedding! I’m not sure what to talk about more, how gorgeous Erin was in her amazing dress, Mitch’s cool beachy look with Sperry shoes, or just the details in general! This wedding has details with a capital D!! Just you wait.

So this day was already special to me because it’s Ryan’s birthday. I arranged for some friends to come up and stay with us at Hammock Beach and they kept him entertained that day on the golf course, while Jen and I had a blast at the wedding. They had an elegant beach theme of tying the “knot” and knots and rope showed up throughout the decor.

Ceremony and Reception venue: Hammock Beach Resort (their onsite coordinator was Keith and he was awesome)

Floral Design: Nature Scapes Florist (super nice to work with and amazing florals!)

Cake Artist: Publix (although once you see the cake I’m not sure if you’ll believe that)

DJ: Justin Fredericks with Florida Wedding DJs (another great vendor to work with, and I don’t have many DJs I can say that about!)

Nautical Knots as table markers: made by Karen Conabeare, buy them from her Etsy store!

2nd shooter: my dear friend Jen Carr

I also need to find out where Erin got her dress. Jen and I pulled it out of the bag and literally gasped!

Jen and I also had a little hissy fit over these bouquets. Just super unique with wheat and lots of other neat things I had never seen, plus a rope binding. So much texture!

A very dapper group of dudes:

The gorgeous ceremony decor. Florist said each of those urns had 200 roses in them!

Mitch walked down the aisle flanked by his two brothers, Kyle and Robby:

Love this one of Erin’s veil as they recessed back down the aisle as husband and wife:

My friend Sarah (who is somewhere in this lineup of bridal party) referred Erin to me, so grateful for her!

The ballroom at Hammock Beach was beautiful!

Their escort card table was really special and unique. Guests found their card that was attached to rope by a pin. They then took the pin and stuck in onto a huge map to indicate where they were from! By night’s end the map had little pins from all over the world!

I also thought their favors were really unique! I should have grabbed one for myself so I could testify to how yummy it was, but I’m sure it’s delish. 🙂

Here’s the cool knots made by Karen:

Erin and Mitch didn’t neglect their younger guests. Super fun centerpiece with pinwheels that the kids took home, red white and blue goldfish, crayons and coloring sheets, and ocean themed bracelets that served as napkin rings:

Here’s proof the kids had fun!

A tradition at weddings in Erin’s family: all the men who have married a lady from her side love the sea and fishing, so they put on their pirate bandanas and have an initiation ceremony for the newest member! Here they are crowning Mitch, and also holding the “playbook” they have been writing for 40 years on how to “deal” with the ladies:

Hope you guys had a blast in Costa Rica! It was an honor to be a part of your special day!

Kylene these pictures are absolutely amazing! I usually always get to see the bride and wedding party, but never all the details. I love so many of these pictures and so many of the actual wedding decorations. I’m going to send the link to this post to the concierge team!! Thanks for sharing!

Such awesome photos! I loved all of their cute ‘knot’ details as well. This is how a nautical wedding should be done!!

Mitch I saw your mom posted these on FB. These are wonderful. We’re so happy for you, and you’ve got your dad’s dimple. Congratulations and holler if you come through Atlanta.

The BEST investment I made for our wedding day was definitely booking Kylene and Ryan Studios! It was such a blessing to have you both there to capture all of the PERFECT moments of that day. You all made us feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the lens and all around were pleasant to be around.

Kylene and Ryan are the worlds best photographers! Not only did I love every picture they took but they also were great to work with. I am not the greatest when it comes to taking pictures and knowing what I might like but they knew exactly what I wanted even when I didn’t. I would highly recommend them for every event.

Ellen

They were the absolute best! So friendly, so fun and professional. The photos were amazing and they took the time to get some of the more ridiculous shots I requested. BONUS: they were amazing with our nephew. He is autistic. He was our ring-bearer and was having a difficult day, which isn’t unexpected for a day like that. Could not recommend enough.

Nora

Hands down, I would recommend Kylene & Ryan to anyone in a heartbeat. We used them for our engagement photos, a boudoir shoot for me, and our wedding photography. Every single time we saw their work, we were blown away. What first drew us to them was their beautiful work–but what also hooked us was how incredibly fun, sweet, professional, and hard-working they are.

Jenna

Wow, what an incredible experience! It was such a joy working with this team. They had us laughing and enjoying every minute of our special day. And the pictures are STUNNING! They really went above and beyond to create unique and memorable moments we will cherish always.
