I’m lucky enough to usually meet with my brides and grooms during the booking process, but since Leah and Michael didn’t live close by, our first meeting was for their engagement session!  It took us awhile to pick a date, so we scheduled it over a month out and picked the fun area of Alys Beach for their session.  Then Monday, the day of our shoot, some crazy weather blew through!  The light was nice when we started, but by the time we got to the beach it was like we were working in the middle of a hurricane!  But Leah and Michael kept a smile on their face and we trudged on.  I’m glad we did because there’s so many of these that I love!

I guess the day of our shoot, Michael’s brother told him that his engagement session had lasted almost 4 hours!  So Michael got a little apprehensive and I don’t think he was looking forward to our shoot.  But I think I changed his mind after we were done.  🙂

Can’t wait for your September nuptials guys!

It was really windy and Leah was a little worried about her hair, but for some reason it doesn’t look crazy and windblown!  The wind was also causing some wardrobe “malfunctions” with Leah’s dress which Michael thought was really funny.  🙂

I think this one is my favorite.  I love shooting through things!

I loved this area we found, it had so many cool textures and colors all over the place!

I think they did a good job of making the beach look sunny and warm!  You have no idea how nasty it was!
