Kira & Wesley | Sandestin, FL Wedding Photographer

Nov 16, 2009

I have a very special place in my heart for these two.  Kira is the niece of one of my and Ryan’s very best friends, Frank (who was the best man in our wedding).  There’s always a little added pressure when you’re photographing someone referred by a close friend, but we became fast friends and I was counting down until their big day!  Kira did something that no bride has ever done before – she consulted with me about her entire wedding day timeline and chose her ceremony time based on my suggestions.  She also gave me a whole HOUR of portrait time for them and the bridal party at the beach – the hour leading into sunset!  It was perfection and I just felt so blessed to have clients who trust me to make the best images possible for them.  There’s also something very magical about sunsets on the gulf!  I was in heaven!!  They didn’t do a First Look, but to make up for it we had a Glam Session the very next morning and even got a little wet in the ocean!

These are some of my favorite images ever…thanks guys, for making me feel part of the family!

The flowers from Beachside Bouquets were just delicious!

This needs no explanation!

I just realized I have so many pictures of Kira getting ready!  It’s just such a fun time and full of great photo opportunities, don’t skimp on this part!

I love the expression on mom’s face, so sweet!

We had an intruder!  This dog kept coming to visit and sat for a couple group pictures, but I loved everyone’s reaction when he went running away!

I loved the girls’ dresses from JCrew!  They were all different styles but the color tied them together, nice touch!

This is my new favorite groomsmen shot.  Totally different than what I usually do, but I think that’s why I love it!

That gorgeous gulfside sunset light….oh man I love it!

Kira pulled off the birdcage veil flawlessly.  She looks so timeless, especially in black and white!  LOVE!

I loved their “cake topper”!  I hadn’t seen this before:

Dancing with dad and mom…these are usually some of my favorite pictures:

Wes’ reaction to his ROAST…his brother did not toast him, he roasted him.  I love mom and grandma’s expression in the background!

You guys are the best!

The rest of the pictures are from the next day.  The sky was beautiful and blue even at 10:30 in the morning!

I can’t explain how much I love this portrait…but I do, I just love it!  Kira you are gorgeous!

They’re just so stinkin cute together!

This might be my favorite bridal portrait ever though…Kira just has this magnetic smile and it makes me happy just to look at it!

I’m putting in some overtime to get your VideoShow finished before we leave for Singapore Wednesday morning!  Wish me luck!  🙂
