I traveled in time and it’s Friday night here in Singapore! We arrived almost 24 hours ago and have had a great first day here. I was really worried about jetlag since it’s 13 hours different, but I started staying up really late a few days before we left, so the adjustment hasn’t been too tough.
We flew to Atlanta, then had a 14 hour flight to Tokyo, a quick layover with some awesome sushi, then another 8 hours to get us to Singapore! We’re right on the equator so it’s super warm, and the rainy season is keeping it nice and humid. It’s like a Florida summer! Ryan got up early and took a ferry to Indonesia to play golf with his brother, and I did a little bit of shopping and saw this crazy Body Worlds Exhibit with our sis-in-law, Melissa. (not for the faint of heart, I don’t think we knew what we were getting ourselves into!)
Michael and Melissa have a daughter, Hunter, who is the same age as Rylie. She got home from school then we all met back up and headed out for (Mexican!) dinner! We haven’t exactly had any traditional food, this is a very Americanized country. No language barrier, walked across the street and got Starbucks, tons of cool shops…
Here’s just a couple pictures from our evening! More to come! We’re going zip-lining tomorrow so wish us luck on that! 🙂 We’re also planning on visiting Little India, Chinatown, and I think I even found a cute family to photograph!
Check back, I should have more up tomorrow!
Craziest restaurant I’ve ever seen! Hospital themed?! Yum!
Hooray for cider!
