I’m starting to run out of unique ways to write up our blog posts. We end up loving each of our couples so much, and that’s all I can come up with when it’s time to share! Kristen and Doug were no exception – ironically we didn’t do engagement pictures so we didn’t even get to know them that well involving a camera. But Kristen is so sweet about commenting on our social media stuff and just reaching out every once in awhile, so when December 1 came it felt easy. Any wedding vendor will tell you that rain is an unwelcome visitor on wedding day. The forecast was not looking pretty. I was bummed because I knew we would be missing out on the beautiful property at The Space, and Kristen wanted to get married under their big oak tree! Well, the rain cleared up shortly before their ceremony, and their DJ, Justin, was willing to make the call to move the ceremony chairs outside. I jumped at the opportunity, knowing that would make Kristen so happy, so we rallied some guys and had their chairs moved outside in less than 10 minutes. Halfway through the ceremony it started raining, and kept raining….but we grabbed an umbrella for them, they stayed dry while saying their vows, and then the rain disappeared again for our outside portraits! I was soaked, but pretty much giddy the rest of the night.
Then I had a cardamom cinnamon donut from SoDough Baking Co….and the night was perfected. Enjoy this sneak peek you two!
