I feel like I should maybe leave this portion blank, otherwise I will write a novel about these two. I’ll try to keep it brief. Emily and Ashley came to us from our good friend Brien (whose wedding we also did, Hi Brien!). I would like to think we hit it off right away, and then we would see them at functions throughout town and got to be good friends as their wedding approached. Ashley even helped us out with some amazing tickets to see Vince Gill and the Time Jumpers for our anniversary in February. I feel like they have impacted our lives more than us them, but at the end of the night they presented US with a gift and told us they considered us “friendors” and not “vendors”. Their gift was amazing – it’s a beautiful wooden piece in the shape of a keyhole. Not a key like our logo and everything else we have decorating our studio…they chose the keyhole because they said we opened up so many memories for them and the other people we photographed. <3 melt….
Their wedding was a truly beautiful occasion. Usually I’m a huge advocate for hiring professional vendors, but they chose to make their own flowers. Yes, all the florals in this blog post were made by Emily and Ashley out of hand-dyed coffee filters!! We are now the proud owners of two arrangements, including the honey bear piece in the blog. Emily’s mom made the cupcakes that were on each table – they sweetly had a plate for the vendors to grab from and I took one on our way out. I bit into that thing as I sat down to download my flash cards and I almost fell out of my chair. They were amazing. I want more…..stat.
Love you ladies! Enjoy the blog post, there’s lots more on the way!
