I had been looking forward to this wedding for months and it didn’t disappoint! I knew it would be a beautiful, laid back affair, but Christen and her family managed to plan an even more perfect beach soiree than I could have imagined!
Christen and crew grew up in Atlanta but had a house on the Cape where they spent every summer. She always dreamed of getting married there, so they started making plans. They ended up using a beautiful house down the road and transforming it to the perfect wedding site. She had a custom gown made from antique Victorian lace, and her mom and two sisters also had beautiful dresses made. I loved her first veil with little polka dots, and then she switched into a smaller birdcage veil for the reception.
Bob is also quite special…when Ryan went to visit him and snap some portraits, he said, “I really don’t love having my picture taken, but I will do anything to make her happy” and proceeded to pose for two dozen pictures. 🙂 That’s love right there! He’s also a talented musician so they picked out an awesome band that would play their style of music all night.

Christen, her mom and two sisters all share the same first initial, “C”. So the coat rack in front of the house has C hooks for all of them:
I loved the page of directions the seamstress included to get Christen into her dress:
Her stationery was really cool and had all kinds of little inserts with directions and all the fun events of the weekend:
Christen’s bouquet was so unique! Kind of hard to photograph since it was so big though! 🙂
I love when you can see the closeness between the two families that are joining together. Here’s Christen’s mom holding Bob’s hand while she walks down the aisle:
I love this one….the light reflecting off the ocean gives it such an ethereal look:
All the guests had little sachets of lavender that they tossed during the recessional:
I loved Christen’s sister’s dresses almost as much as hers! And I love that all three of them are so different but all gorgeous:
I don’t really have words for how pretty these are:
I love this shot that Ryan got:
The band was amazing and had the floor hopping all night!
Lots of fireworks to end the night with a bang!
I’ve got to explain the picture on the right. I guess I tell my couples to touch noses a lot (as opposed to kissing cause it looks like they have fish lips) so they wanted to do a triple nose touch with me in the middle. It cracked me up but also made me feel so special! haha Love you guys!
