Ahhhh, yet another wedding I had been looking forward to for awhile! I was so excited to hear about Jennie’s engagement – we’ve known each other for years and used to swim on the same team as kids! (she totally kicked my butt, by the way) This day was full of so many sweet moments so I’ll share little tidbits of fun along the way. It was an early morning wedding with a brunch reception which I thought was a fabulous idea….brunch food might be my favorite!
Jennie and Jarret now share a wedding anniversary with Jennie’s parents who celebrated their 28th anniversary on this day. I thought that was pretty special. <3

The Winterbourne Inn had lots of awesome, vintage items around that I had fun using for backdrops. I especially loved this sewing machine:
Jennie has a sweet little girl named Emilia….I love their shoes together:
There were two “First Looks” at this wedding, but neither of them were the traditional bride and groom version. Here is Jarret and Emilia doing their First Look:
And here’s my favorite picture of the day, Jennie and her dad, Tim, doing a First Look right before he walked her down the aisle:
I love having kids involved in weddings, there’s always bound to be a funny moment! When Jennie and her dad got down front, everyone bowed their head for a prayer. Emilia, being not quite 3 years old, thought that people weren’t paying attention and picked someone out of the crowd: “Open your eyes Matt!” she said. The picture below is Jennie’s reaction:
Another important aspect of the ceremony for Jennie and Jarret was to have Emilia help them during the sand ceremony. Another adorable moment:
The invitations encouraged the guests to wear hats – they sent out the invites before the royal wedding so the idea was original, but it definitely felt like a royal touch!
Right after the recessional I ran up to the roof and we called everyone over so I could get a big group shot. I think it looks amazing…I was nervous!
A split-second candid moment while I was doing family formals…Emilia and the other flower girl having a little snuggle with her great aunt:
Fan programs to keep everyone cool, and all of their family members’ wedding portraits on the mantle:
Jennie and Jarret said they didn’t really like to dance, so they gladly let Emilia share with their First Dance. (then Jarret shared a first dance with Emilia to her favorite song, “Baby Beluga”.)
The awesome brunch spread! Cheese grits, home fries, cheesy eggs, and ham with some crazy good sauce (thanks for insisting I ate something, it was delicious!):
This is Jennie’s younger sister, Allie. She is my sister’s age and gave her a run for her money at swimming as well! 🙂 Her toast had everyone in tears as she recounted the day that Jennie gave birth to Emilia and a lot of other beautiful, eloquent things that I can’t even remember as well as she said them. Love her reactions:
I loved being a part of your day you guys! Best wishes!
