What a crazy weekend! We held the 2nd Sit. Stay. Smile! event to benefit the Leon County Humane Society on Saturday! The rain stayed away the whole day and only poured when I was packed up and halfway home….unbelievable! We had a lot of great folks bring their pets out – a few repeat customers from spring and lots of new furry faces! We got licked, slobbered on, and captured a lot of great pictures. Thanks SOOO much to my good friends Jenn, Beth and Melissa for their help! They wrangled, lugged gear and in general helped me keep my sanity. 🙂
Enjoy the first few sessions, more to come throughout the week! Also, keep reading to the end to find out info about another great event LCHS is planning next month!
We opened the event up to Walk-Ins at the last minute and added a few extra pups to the mix! It worked out great!
Ummmm, check out Kora’s dress!! Her mommy checked out my site and noticed a trend in color….and found this dress to match. I think I have a new mascot! (and my dog needs this dress too!)
I’m pretty darn proud of this one! Jack was sooo super shy! I think they said he just showed up in their front yard and they took him in, so who knows what happened to him before that. But he was so shy he would completely turn away from me and plop down for a nap. So you can see why this picture is so great to me! 🙂
Dachshund’s definitely ruled the day! Check out these two in their Green themed outfits! Zoe is just 3 1/2 months old and posed so well!
These two were best buddies and had some awesome bling around their necks!
This little Schipperke was probably the calmest and best behaved! He just sat there and “smiled”!
Murphy was a rescue and has only been with his mommy for a few months, but they were very attached already! I just think he’s gorgeous and especially love this shot of him!
I don’t think I knew I’d captured this until I uploaded them all to my computer. How adorable?! I was able to get some Christmas themed stuff from PAWS and loved this angel halo!
I was so happy to see Kasey again! She’s almost 16 years old and is still getting around great! She’s got arthritis and torn ACLs on her back legs, but she won’t sit down! She just kept scooting around!
I’ll post some more tomorrow! I also wanted to pass along some info on the Humane Society’s biggest fundraiser of the year! I’m trying to get a group of animal lovers together to attend the FURBALL! It’s a night of dinner, dancing to “Tom and the Cats” and a great silent auction to benefit the animals! It’s $60 to attend and promises to be a great time! I’m planning to donate a free portrait session for the auction, so come bid on it and support a great cause!
