So, yesterday was me and Ryan’s first wedding anniversary. I am a little concerned at how quickly the last year has flown by….does that mean the rest of my LIFE will fly by? Before I know it I could be 70!
But honestly, I spent the day reflecting on what I was doing last year on this exact day. At 9 I remembered getting in to a limo and heading to Pebble Hill Plantation. At noon I remembered sitting down to get my hair down, realizing I was running late because I was having too much fun setting up our reception site! At 2:30 I was seeing Ryan for the first time and giving him his wedding day gift. At 4:30 I was walking down the aisle and taking vows to be married to him forever. Etc, etc…it was still so vivid in my memory.
I also sat down and went through all of our wedding pictures! I had procrastinated on designing us an album (for lots of reasons) so I decided that on our anniversary I would show Ryan our album design (he’s been bugging me about it ever since we got our images). It was so much fun going through each picture one by one, finding the perfect ones for our book. I have no idea when it will be printed….it has an obscene amount of pages and will probably cost a fortune!
Ryan tracked down the only video footage of our wedding day from a close friend. I knew she had taken some video and had been begging her to send it to me, but Ryan got ahold of it and waited til our anniversary to show it to me. Needless to say, I boo-hooed like a baby. 🙂 Now I need to learn how to edit video and make it snazzy!
I hope all of my past clients get to sit and reminisce about their wedding days like I did yesterday. I’m blessed to capture all those special memories for you guys!
Here’s one of my favorite pictures captured by the fabulous Genya Garrett. I’ll be in Vegas with Genya and Jackie Ihnenfeld in less than a week! We’re heading out west for the annual WPPI Convention – I’ve never been and am sooo excited about it! I’ll learn about tons of vendors and new products that I can bring home and share with YOU!
