What a great way to ring in the New Year, with a big long blog post! I was so eager to get home and work on my new computer, that I’ve gone through all of Cherie and J.J.’s images and finished my favorites for a blog post. That’s exactly 24 hours from when their wedding ended last night, and judging by how many pics I chose I’d say it’s a record!
There were so many sweet moments of this wedding so hopefully this post will reflect some of them. This couple is one of the sweetest I’ve had the chance to work with and I really felt welcomed into their family yesterday. Hope you guys made it to Hawaii safely and are enjoying your honeymoon cruise! I was too impatient to wait on vendor info, so I’ll get that to you later. But the whole wedding took place at the beautiful World Golf Village in St. Augustine!
The flowers were to die for:
I’ve got to give credit to Genya Garrett for this one. We did this on my wedding day and it was one of my favs:
The bridal party was super fun, in case you couldn’t tell:
My hands down favorite of the day:
So, at the risk of making a total fool of myself, I thought I’d share this picture with you. My fab assistant Jen took it – it’s my reaction as I’m “chimping” on the back of my camera. I’d just seen the image above on my LCD screen and was looooving it! “Chimping” is what we do with a digital camera when we scroll through our images and go “Oh Oh Oh!” like a monkey, hence the chimp reference. 🙂
I’ve started to really love the few seconds I have with the groom…they always work it, and get it over with quick! 🙂
But my time with the bride is even more fun…she’s gorgeous, huh?
Possibly my favorite bridal picture….ever:
Their ceremony site was decorated beautifully, and the sunset light was a great touch:
Their ceremony was very sweet and personable. It was performed by Cherie’s family minister who has known her since she was 6 months old. I thought that was pretty special:
All of their details were gorgeous, including the centerpieces:
Sharing their first slice of wedding cake:
Me and the happy couple:
Thanks to my awesome assistant Jen Carr who worked her booty off and helps me keep my sanity on wedding days!
2009 is shaping up to be a great year! I’ve got a bunch of awesome weddings on the books, and in February I’ll be traveling to Las Vegas for the famed WPPI convention with my fab wedding photographer Genya Garrett, good friend and photographer Jackie Ihnenfeld, and a friend of Genya’s. We’re all piling into a room and cramming as much info into our brains as possible! I’m sure I’ll come back with lots of great new ideas and products to share with everyone.
I also have a new 2009 Pricing Guide in effect, so if you haven’t booked your wedding yet email me to get the new information. Don’t worry, there’s no real price increase…I think you’ll all be happy with the change I made. Happy New Year!!

Truly beautiful and creative photos. The colors are so vivid and clear. Of course you had a gorgeous bride and groom and wedding party to work with. Like Liz stated, you show the love and adoration Cherie and JJ have for each other. Thanks for posting these for us to see.

Thanks Kylene for all of your hard work. I called my mom while on the cruise to ask her to see if you posted the pictures yet. When she told me how much she loved them, JJ and I had to check them out right away. The pictures are gorgeous, and we can’t wait to see the rest later! We’ll talk to you when we get back.

The pictures are “almost” as beautiful as my sister and her husband. You did a great job capturing not only the beauty of the day but the emotion. Love was in the air!
