I have been in the best mood all week! The weather has been warm, but that’s not keeping me from getting into the Christmas spirit. We didn’t find time to put lights on the house, but the inside has got our girly, blinged out tree, matching stockings, a Siberian Fir Yankee Candle and lots of presents! Here’s a few things putting a smile on my face this week:
Pandora Radio
I kept hearing about this but never really checked it out until yesterday. I was craving some new Christmas music and headed on over to Pandora and set up an account. I’m still figuring it all out, but so far it’s awesome! I just typed in an artist and added “holiday” to the end and it and away I went! My favorites so far are Martina McBride, the Elf Soundtrack, Love Actually Soundtrack, Taylor Swift (only she can fill a Christmas song with teen angst), David Archuleta, Sarah McLachlan, Michael Buble….the list goes on. 🙂
Christmas Cards
I love when the mailbox starts to fill with cards from all our friends and family! It makes me smile knowing that cards I designed are in other people’s mailboxes too. 🙂 Since I’m so swamped with client Christmas stuff, I’ve decided to make my tradition a Valentine’s card. I did this last year and thought it went over well. So if you want to get on the “mailing list”, email me your full name and address! kylene (at) foreverbykylene (dot) com
Coordinating wrapping paper from World Market
Last year was the first for our “blinged out” tree, as Rylie calls it. It’s full of beautiful jewel tones, gold, royal blue, purple, pink, lime green…but last year I only had red and silver paper to wrap gifts with. This doesn’t sound like a tragedy, but it didn’t coordinate well with our decorations. So this year at World Market, I found tons of wrapping paper, gift bags and “chinese takeout” gift boxes to wrap with. The presents look so pretty all coordinated with the other decorations! I’m still in search for the perfect tree skirt….
Here’s a picture of our tree from last year (I haven’t made time to take new ones):
I’m getting geared up for my last wedding of 2009 this coming Saturday, can’t wait Jen and Scott! I also get to enjoy the Tallahassee Professional Photographer’s Guild Christmas party tonight! What are your holiday plans?
Keep checking back….I’ve got an exciting contest coming in the new year for all you newly engaged couples!! You won’t want to miss it!
