We had so much fun on Saturday! Ryan’s mom, Daneri, flew up from Miami to hang out with us and to go see “Where the Wild Things Are” (she and Rylie had agreed to see it together months ago when the previews first came out). So we went to the movies, did a little shopping, carved pumpkins, got dressed up and went Trick-or-Treating! I especially loved Rylie’s costume this year, so here’s a few pictures from our night! 🙂
Ryan and I didn’t do too much prep for our “costumes”. He’s not big into Halloween so I loved that he at least attempted to look like a hippie! See Ally, dressed like an angel?
She really was an angel. She walked around the whole neighborhood with us, and then when we got home she didn’t bark everytime the doorbell rang!
Daneri, or “G.G.” as Rylie calls her, was such a good sport and dressed up in my witch costume! She’s a 6th grade math teacher and her students call her the “Wicked Witch of Homework”, so it was kind of appropriate. But other than that, she has no Wicked Witch qualities. 🙂
I’ve always loved carving pumpkins, and got one just for Rylie this year. Ryan cut the top off, but literally everything else she did by herself! Pulled out all the pumpkin guts, traced the pattern onto the pumpkin and cut out the design, I was so impressed!
And here’s my pumpkin! With all the stuff we had going on, I didn’t have as much time to devote to carving it this year (usually I spend about 4 hours). So I went with a more simple design, but it still looked really cool all lit up!
Today, I’m sitting at my desk trying to get some work done. But I’m waiting for UPS to arrive with a very important package, so everytime I hear a loud rumbling I peek out the window to see if they’re here yet. So far I’ve been fooled by a plane flying overhead, the FedEx truck, and some Cadillac with big wheels and an obnoxiously loud engine. 🙁 I’ll let you know what’s coming when it gets here! Let’s just say, it’s a new addition to the Forever Photography Family!!
