Brittani came to us later in the game than most brides, but I always say that some dates are left open on our calendar for a reason! When this girl walked into our studio to meet, we instantly fell in love with her and could tell she couldn’t wait to marry Austin. They have been together for a super long time and are expecting their first little baby boy soon, so it was kind of a double celebration! We got to know Austin at their engagement session and loved him instantly too, even though he vetoed my infamous “touch noses” pose. I’ll forgive you Austin. 😉
This was the first time I can remember that we did the wedding ceremony on St. George Island, and then drove across the bridge to Apalachicola for their reception. Despite the driving, it made for the best of both worlds! We got beach portraits PLUS the fun of downtown Apalach! It was pouring down rain all morning when we arrived, but Brittani stayed totally calm. There was talk about moving the ceremony off the beach, but we armed her with a clear umbrella and she said she wanted to go for it. I started the ceremony with a rain jacket on, and took it off once Brittani got down the aisle. The rain stopped! It was one of those moments you’re thankful to be witness to. It was pretty awesome.
We also finally got to work with the fabulous Diane Bardhi of Sweet Tea Tallahassee, so we knew it was going to be an awesome day! Enjoy your sneak peek you guys! Many more pictures to come soon!
