It has been such a fun ride with these two! We first met Samantha and her mom at one of TAWP’s Matchmaker events last year and I’d like to think we instantly “clicked”. Then we got to know them better during their engagement session, and there was no doubt that Dave was smitten with Samantha. Engagement sessions can be tough for guys, but we can always tell when they’re trying to make their ladies happy by not complaining and Dave nailed it. 😉
When we arrived to the Governor’s Inn on wedding day, we found a calm Samantha in a calm room of her bridesmaids and flower girls, and couldn’t figure out why everything was so…..calm. But I think that’s just how they are, and it made for a great “getting ready” portion of the day. Ryan headed down to the DoubleTree to find the guys, and then proceeded to Waterworks (one of my favorite bars) for some pre-wedding beverages and fun. Samantha and Dave met at Waterworks, so it holds a special place in their hearts.
Their ceremony was outside among the beautiful oak trees at the Woman’s Club in Los Robles, and not only were they surrounded by their best friends and family, but Samantha’s 90 year old grandmother served as her matron of honor. It was one of the sweetest touches I’ve ever seen. We hope you enjoy your (massive) sneak peek! Lots more where this came from!

The flower girls are Dave’s nieces and brought a little bit of energy to the calm dressing room. Their mom told me that the oldest fancied herself a photographer, and we watched as she was snapping iPhone pics of every detail. Then when she saw us photographing certain things, she was right alongside. I LOVE this shot of her and Ryan! Samantha got some extra jewels for the big day….there was no question that she had to wear these, according to her flower girls. We had a nice breeze that day! My view on the left and Ryan’s view on the right of Dave reaction when he sees his bride: I had to share these Samantha….they’re just so sweet. (she told me afterwards that her dad was telling her not to burst into tears but she couldn’t do it) <3
