I have run out of adjectives and enough mushy gushy things to say about our clients in general….but then when the clients are longtime friends of yours, you really start to feel like your words are inadequate. I’ll try to avoid gushing too much, but our love for Carla runs deep. We have known her for about 10 years now and have countless fun stories of our friendship with her (my favorite is that we were born in the same hospital in Richmond, VA, Carla being born just a few days before my little sister). What we also knew about Carla was that she was being patient in her quest for the perfect man. There would be no rushing into that decision, so when Nate popped the question we knew he had to be “the guy”. In the time we spent with him during their engagement, and especially on their wedding day, we give our (obviously important) blessing to him to marry our friend. 😉 You can tell that they’re both crazy about each other, which also made them a joy to photograph.
I’ll stop the mush now! Just know that we had an amazing day getting to work with these two and their families, and Carla also took my advice on pretty much all of her vendors, so it was a dream team to say the least! Enjoy your sneak peek guys, lots more coming soon!

Carla and I both share an obsession with bows, so her shoes made me so happy!!
There was a Pokémon event going on at Mission San Luis that morning (I may or may not be a fan), so Carla’s sister Katy was having no problem passing the time of getting ready!
One of the first things you learn about Carla is that she has an infectious laugh. So prepare yourself to be infected throughout this blog post….
Just like myself, Carla is completely infatuated with her nephew, Ethan. So we were sure to get lots of cute pictures of him:
Dr. Stowers gave them a chance to look around at all of their friends and family, something I wish I had done during my wedding! I think it’s a great idea:
It started pouring down rain after the ceremony, so we had to get creative with our bridal party shots. The second shot below was right after a massive clap of lightning made the ground shake and we all started screaming!
Something else that’s commonly known about Carla is her love of rubber duckies. People would bring them back for her on their travels, and she has quite the collection. I think these two will be the crown jewel in the collection now!
Kristi with At Last Florals did an amazing job on the centerpieces. Those orchids are to die for!
After the storm came a gorgeous rainbow, so we ran out into the rain to capture this shot. They weren’t worried for a second about getting wet, and I think this shot was worth a few raindrops!
After a few minutes of slow dancing, Nate and his mom busted out some awesome dance moves!
There were quite a few hilarious toasts as you can see:
We love you two more than words can say! Thanks for trusting us to capture this most special day for you! <3
