Kristina & Matt | 1.18.14 Hotel Duval Wedding

I know I sound like a broken record, but this is another wedding that makes me realize how thankful I am for our clients.  They are gracious and wonderful, and treat us like family.  We always send out a little questionnaire the week leading up to the wedding, and one of the questions is for any specific photo requests.  Kristina responded by saying, “No specific requests, we love your work and trust that you will do an amazing job!”  Wow, seriously?  That means so much to us….so thanks guys!

There was a little bit of drama surrounding the date choice for Kristina and Matt’s special day, but I love a January wedding and I think it turned out perfectly in the end (who needs November anyways?).  It was the perfect way to start off our year, and we finally got to shoot a wedding at Hotel Duval!  I only drive past the darn thing 3 times a day at least….  We loved getting to work there and the close proximity everything was to each other.  Just a short elevator ride away!

I am blogging this wedding from the airport in Bangkok, Thailand.  Ryan and I are heading off on another adventure – one more flight and we will begin our week in Koh Samui!  We will keep you posted via our Facebook page!

I was a little leary of shooting in a downstairs ballroom with no flash, but the lighting on the altar area was pretty darn ok!  (it’s a personal rule we have, not to use flash during a wedding ceremony.  We feel it’s distracting and disruptive to the feel of that special moment)Blog015_Brock

Possibly the most gorgeous bridal party ever?  😉Blog017_Brock

Everyone braved the outside cold, and Ryan braved the traffic on Monroe Street for this shot!  I think it was worth it though!Blog018_Brock

The BEST investment I made for our wedding day was definitely booking Kylene and Ryan Studios! It was such a blessing to have you both there to capture all of the PERFECT moments of that day. You all made us feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the lens and all around were pleasant to be around.

Kylene and Ryan are the worlds best photographers! Not only did I love every picture they took but they also were great to work with. I am not the greatest when it comes to taking pictures and knowing what I might like but they knew exactly what I wanted even when I didn’t. I would highly recommend them for every event.

Ellen

They were the absolute best! So friendly, so fun and professional. The photos were amazing and they took the time to get some of the more ridiculous shots I requested. BONUS: they were amazing with our nephew. He is autistic. He was our ring-bearer and was having a difficult day, which isn’t unexpected for a day like that. Could not recommend enough.

Nora

Hands down, I would recommend Kylene & Ryan to anyone in a heartbeat. We used them for our engagement photos, a boudoir shoot for me, and our wedding photography. Every single time we saw their work, we were blown away. What first drew us to them was their beautiful work–but what also hooked us was how incredibly fun, sweet, professional, and hard-working they are.

Jenna

Wow, what an incredible experience! It was such a joy working with this team. They had us laughing and enjoying every minute of our special day. And the pictures are STUNNING! They really went above and beyond to create unique and memorable moments we will cherish always.
