I’ve never seen a couple more in love than Allison and Dave. I thought they’d been together 6 months tops with the way they acted (all sweet and mushy) but they’ve actually been together for 3 years! Their story is a romantic one – American Ali comes to London to play the violin with her college orchestra, and meets English Dave. They fall in love, spend several years in a long-distance relationship, and have now decided to take the plunge and get married! They’re going to live in Florida which means I get to see them more often than not! Dave is definitely the quintessential Englishman with the adorable accent and funny phrases. He had us in stitches all afternoon.
What started off as a business trip for Ryan, soon turned into a great week of shooting for me. (thanks babe for using all your Skymiles to bring me over with you!) Allison and I were “acquaintances” from church, and I’ve photographed lots of her friends’ wedding so she started following my blog. As soon as I found out I was coming to London, I contacted her to set up the shoot! Ryan and I met up with them on the last day of our trip and spent 5 hours taking pictures, catching a cab, taking more pictures, ducking into a pub for a drink…repeat. I’ve never had a more fun or cultural experience at an engagement session, so thanks Ali and Dave for running around town with me! Can’t wait to see you when you get back to Florida!
Crazy crowded Piccadilly Circus:
We asked the cab drive to pull over so we could use his car as a prop, he outdid himself:
This was as close as we could get to one of the guards, but I still love how it turned out:
This one just cracks me up. We were creating quite a stir, everyone kept asking if we were shooting something for a magazine! haha (that’s Buckingham Palace in the background) I love this little girl looking up at them:
The London “Eye”, biggest ferris wheel I’ve ever seen!
At the end of our day, we took the “tube” (subway to us foreigners) to this fantastic restaurant for dinner. Wagamama, I will miss your delicious udon noodles!
Ali and I enjoying a quick break with some cider…yum!
Holy crap awesome! I still think you should’ve brought an assistant. LOL
