I’ve just gotten back from our annual 2 week vacation in Marathon, down in the Florida Keys.  We swam, boated, tanned, drank a bit…overall a fabulous time.  But it’s great to be back!  I’ve got a super busy weekend coming up with a fabulous wedding and 2 engagement shoots, so there will be lots of blogging to come.  In the meantime, I thought I’d share with you something else fun.  A few weeks ago I got back into my wedding dress (for the third time) and trashed it (again) with my friend Lauren of Sweet Magnolia Photography.  She’s an amazing portrait photographer and wants to start directing her skill towards weddings, so this session was supposed to jumpstart some of that.  I think you’re there Lauren, there’s some amazing shots!  I’m going to post my favorite, and you can check out the rest at the Sweet Magnolia Blog.

*sidenote* Being on this horse looks kind of romantic, but it was actually quite terrifying!  He’s not used to being ridden or having a saddle on him, so I was on him bareback.  He tried to take off a few times and I had to channel some crazy inner thigh strength to keep from flying off.  I also ended up with tons of horse hair all over my legs, but I think this shot was worth it.  Just goes to show how a picture can portray something differently than how it really happened.
