Professional Headshots Includes the session and two retouched digital files of your choice for $150. Most headshots are done on location (either office or another outdoor spot of your choosing). If you do require a studio-style portrait, there is either a minimum number of participants, or an additional setup fee. Newborn and Baby Sessions We have a yearlong baby plan with easy monthly installments to have your baby photographed at various stages during their first year.  The baby plan includes all of the session fees, a 5×30 inch storyboard or 8×10 inch album at the end of the year, and discounted packages at your order session. Please get in touch with us for all the details on this awesome program! If you would like to book a newborn session on its own without the baby plan, there is a $100 session fee and $300 minimum purchase. We prefer to do the session at your home for a lifestyle look, and babies are best photographed during the first 2 weeks of life. Tasteful Boudoir Sessions By Kylene Starting at $350 which include professional makeup and a $50 print credit to use at your order session. After most of these sessions (not including headshots), we will schedule you to come in for your ordering appointment about 2 weeks later. You’ll then come into our home studio to see your pictures for the first time, and we will help you pick out the perfect products using specialized order software and our projector.

Portrait FAQ

How do I schedule a portrait session?

Fill out our “Connect” form and we will get in touch by emailing you pricing for our portrait packages and asking some questions about who you want in the portraits, if you have a location in mind, and what your end goal for the session is in the way of products. You’d be surprised at how many people want their portrait taken, but then have no idea how they want to display them in their home! Once we decide on a date for your session, we will then email you a link to pay your session fee and electronically sign our portrait agreement. Then within 2 weeks of your session you’ll come to our studio for your order session where you will pick out what you’d like!

How much should I expect to spend at my order session?

It completely depends on what you want as a finished product. We have discounted print packages starting at $199 or you may order prints a la carte. We can help you create a beautiful canvas display for your wall and even see what it would look like on your own wall in real size at your order session – all you need to do is email us a picture of a blank wall in your house with an 8.5×11 sheet of paper taped to it. Our canvases are very reasonably priced and you can get a 3 piece collection for around $550. If you would like all the digital files from your session they are $500, and we will discount them further with purchase of certain print or canvas collections.

What should I wear for my portrait?

The age old question….what to wear? Gone are the days of matching white shirts and khaki pants on the beach (unless that’s really what you want to do, we don’t mind). The best way to explain how to plan your attire is to use the word “coordinate” instead of “match”. Everyone doesn’t need to wear the exact same colored shirt and pants, but instead, pick a color palette or different shades of the same color. Different tones of blue, or everyone is wearing something jewel toned (garnet red, eggplant purple, emerald green, etc.). Small patterns are ok but try to avoid wearing clothing with large, distracting patterns. Especially small children wearing patterned clothes, it will just distract from their sweet faces. Darker clothing is usually better as your eye is drawn to the lightest part of the image, and we would rather that be your face than your shirt! When in doubt, feel free to ask our opinion ahead of time.

Can you just put our pictures online for us to view and purchase?

The short answer for this question is, ‘no’. After many years in business we finally started doing in-person order sessions, and truly feel it is a service for our clients. Online galleries would sit for months, and then expire with no one ordering anything which totally defeats the purpose of us having taken your portrait. Our in-person order sessions are fun, low-key and helpful. You will not get a heavy sales pitch from us, we just want to help you enjoy the pictures that we all worked so hard to create.
